Ashish Jha is a visually impairment computer engineering graduate, and an ex-student of WSB. He suffers from Retinitis Pimentos (RP) in both eyes. While he was pursuing class XII examination, the first signs of Glaucoma showed. Ashish completed his Secondary and Higher secondary education from West Bengal board. Ashish then creditably passed West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination and got admission to B. P Poddar Institute of Management and Technology, where he completed his B. Tech (CSE). Ashish is also a Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI), an ISO 27001 Lead Auditor and a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH). He worked with IBM as a Tower Lead in the IT security domain up to 2014. He currently works as an Assistant Manager at UCO bank. Outside of his work domain, he imparts computer and soft-skill trainings at disability organisations. Having worked as Joint Secretary at the National Association for the Blind (NAB), Kolkata and currently as anexecutive member for Blind Empowerment Foundation, Kolkata, he has conducted several training programmes for improving computer skills among adults with visual impairments.

Ashish individually enhance his technical skill by using screen reading software like JAWS. He joined on 2005 Welfare Society for the Blind and got training on screen-reading software JAWS.
