Help Us Help The Blind Stand Tall!

The Welfare Society for the Blind was established on the 17th of April, 1970, in the city of Kolkata (formerly Calcutta), by a group of voluntary social workers, led by Smt. Geeta Basu, dedicated to the cause of empowering the visually challenged through vocational training.

Today, after nearly 4 decades, though a large part of the vision of the founding members may have been fulfilled, we still have a long way to go.

We look forward to your support in our endeavours.
